Hmm... Let's see here: It's been a couple of months since I wrote my last blogpost. It may be more difficult than I anticipated to get back into it, but hey, that's what deadlines for a composition class are for!
You may have noticed that I am following Sam's example by adding music to my blog. (See above.) I'm thinking that I write such lengthy and time-consuming posts that I should reward you guys with both pictures and reading music. (It's a fully-fledged multimedia BONANZA!) You can pick which song you want to listen to while you read, or not, if that's your thing, and I should have a variety of different genres up there for every post. I will, however, likely not be doing any Metal, Country, or Rap/Hip-hop. Sorry music fans! On that tangent, if you have any music suggestions, you can leave them in the comments section. Please refrain from extra-emo music.

This next part here goes out to my Composition teacher, Azor, if he is reading my blog: The other day I had an epiphany, as every so often I do, and it granted me sudden insight into grammar. I laid out the ground work as such -- If you use a statement with a raised inflection, it becomes what I would like to call an interrogative statement. E.g. I'm going to the barbershop today? This is not actually a question, as a question would be worded like this: Am I going to the barbershop today? Now, you will say that both are acceptable, and in spoken English, the difference is negligible. (I like to think that the question is more polite than the statement. But that's just me!) In the written language, however, they are not always interchangeable. The interrogative statement can only be used in vernacular or in quoted speech to avoid confusion. While adding a question mark to the end of the sentence implies a raised inflection, and most people would understand it as such, it is not always viable. Read the following two sentences out loud without any inflection or emphasis (Think Ben Stein!) and I think you will see what I mean:
Statement -- We're going to the baseball game
Question -- Are we going to the baseball game
The question is still a question, but the statement is not. I think that many people fall into this trap in their writing simply because it sounds alright when they say it. Baaaaaaaad writing community. Bad.

Now that I have all that stuff out of the way, let's get to the real meat of the blog. It seems like I have to struggle more and more to devote time to the things that are important to me. It's like my science teachers are conspiring together to make the next few months of my life really, REALLY hard. As a few of you may know, we are no longer learning out of the textbook; it's a lab-book only exercise. That means that we have a huge amount of vague material to cover over very little time. Is it even allowed for teachers to make it so the only way that you can even PASS tests is to come in outside of class and do the lab work that she either didn't tell us about or give us time enough to do? I hope it isn't like this when I get into college! As far as chemistry goes, I think I'm going to be doing ok, even if it has Jimmy and Colin really worried about the amount of work she is going to have us do on the lab write-ups. I can only pray that they don't double-whammy us like last week.

A conundrum that I have been posing to people recently, and one that has turned into rather an inside joke, is would you rather fight a bear with sharks for arms, or a hundred first-graders armed with knives? Naturally, I would pick the bear, club it to death with with my five-foot long trouser snake, and then use the corpse to fight off the first-graders. But that's just me. ^_^
One thing I haven't been doing very much of lately is playing Guitar Hero. I really only play at other peoples' houses these days. "Why is that?" you ask? Because my yellow button is completely and totally busted. I cannot possibly be expected to play at all if I miss 50% of the most common note in the game. It infuriates me in a way that would not have been previously expressible in words. GRAWR!

I have, however, managed to get a couple of hours into my favorite game of DotA. Now, I know that I normally don't post anything about it in my blog, but I figured that it's as good a time as any to start. Version 6.50b came out the other day, and I am pleased as PUNCH. I have played a couple of rounds, and although they nerfed some of my current favorite heroes, they buffed-up some of my old friends. I guess I will go back to playing those now. For those of you who aren't aware, I spend every Saturday night playing in IHL with my clan until a little after 3 AM. It wreaks havoc with my sleep cycle to say the least.

Let's see here, what haven't I talked about yet? Oh yeah! Jenny!
She and I are doing alright. I let her win her stupid bet with Sam Robinson. (It turned out to be for a Big Mac or something.) However, the real winner was me, if you know what I mean. *Ka-wink * We always enjoy being together and I truly care about her. Hmm... How many people out there are reading this and thinking, "Awkwaaaaaard." Well, shut your face holes! This is my blog and I think I'm going to say what I damn well please. All those who object are invited to take one of my complementary STFU cookies when they walk out. Moving on--
My mother is still on her trip to Florida. (Thank the gods!) Home life has been really quiet. I get done what I need to get done, then I go do whatever comes next. (Usually getting naked, but that might be expensive in the long run. Getting naked in places like Woodlake can be costly!) My dad is a pretty chill guy comparatively, so I'm having a pretty relaxing time right now.

We have this new kid at our school. I think his name is Chris, but I'm not sure because I only met the dude once. I hope he got the right impression. As Sam said to me,"People naturally become friends with whoever they meet in their first three days." In that case, he will never become one of us and will be doomed to the compatriotism of the Freshmen Lvl 2. Bummer, those kids need to get their priorities in order.
I watched that one Beatles movie with Jen the other night. You know, Across the Universe? I was all set up for this amazing musical and awesome plot and acting, but I was totally disappointed. The movie was terrible. The plot was practically non-existent, and there was far too few songs. (20 songs for a 3 hour movie is NOT ENOUGH) It was no where near what other people had made it out to be. Major letdown. I did, however, watch Resident Evil 3 the next night, and that was alright. It was a little less that the first two, but it turned out ok.
Hmm, I would say that this is getting pretty lengthy, so I think I will leave it off here. If you would like so see anything added, or find something that I can do with less of, drop me a line in the comments section. I less than three you all.

I like how I have my own tag.
It's one of my most used tags. >_>
Great Blog! You've obviously been doing this a long time. I obviously have a lot to learn. I like all the music, the pictures, the "stuff".

Wow! I am very new at this blogging stuff. After reading yours and Azor's I feel quite intimidated. I hope I can write something even remotely as interesting as you.
BTW, thank god you are not posting any metal, country, or rap/hip-hop music.
Thanks for all of your praise!
I'm sure that you will get it soon enough. It's not so important that you write a lot, or that you write something very meaningful, but that you are writing at all. I think that if you just sit down and start writing you will have a great blog in no time.
Also, did anyone have any suggestions on things that they wanted me to do differently? I live to serve. ^_^
I too only play G Hero when I am at a friends, or lit up, or both. I have this problem with rocking too hard and the green button on my guitar hates me.
